A merry heart does good like medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones.
Proverbs 17:22
The mind is intimately linked to the physical body;
when one suffers, the other is by nature affected. However, when one thrives, the other flourishes. Courage, hope, faith, sympathy, and love promote health and balance the mind. In order to have mental wellness one has to care for the person as a whole, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Our Mental Health & Wellness program takes a Biblical approach to dealing with mental illness while showing how to implement lifestyle changes. Participants engage in useful, service-oriented activities in a supportive environment. They learn to appreciate that there is life in giving life to others. Every day provides new experiences, teaching purpose in life, personal value before God, and enjoyment in community. The principles learned and applied create a path towards improved mental health.
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.
Proverbs 12:25
